You can make so many memories and introduce people into the heritage of hunting through squirrel hunting. I enjoy going solo, but it’s more enjoyable to spend that time with a friend or a family member. With squirrels it sometimes doesn’t matter if you make a little noise or talk during the hunt. More than one set of eyes can be beneficial in the woods. It’s a great time to give encouragement on a great shot, or reassure “someone” that they missed, and the rifle must be off (I was victim to this, this past season). Having that extra person can also help you obtain more squirrels on the hunt. Squirrels love to counteract your movement on the ground, up in the tree. With that second or third person, the squirrel has a much harder time with that.

I had my first squirrel dog, a treeing feist when I was 15. I’m now 70 and absolutely love the sport more everyday. I enjoy hunting with my family and friends with my finished and started dogs and often bag a few or even a lot of squirrels. As time goes on, I realize the enjoyment in training these pups to started or finished dogs. I sell pups, started dogs and finished dogs; some feist will tree coons also. I love it. Hopefully you will find something on here that will encourage you to purchase a puppy from my champion breed kennels.
Owning a dog is a privilege, and an amazing experience. No other creature asks so little and gives so much loyalty, companionship and love in return. Dog breeders are a special group of people. They don’t simply sell you an animal. I know my pups and sincerely want what’s best for you and puppy both.
